BINARY RESEARCH ANNOUNCES NEW VISTA-READY VERSION OF THE UNIVERSAL IMAGING UTILITY (UIU) TO SIMPLIFY SYSTEM ROLLOUTS

UIU VERSION 3.5 EASES SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ISSUES, ENSURING EACH MACHINE GETS THE CORRECT DRIVER

July, 2007 - Milwaukee, WI
Binary Research International, the authority on cloning and migration since 1997 and part of the company that created the industry-leading cloning solution now known as Symantec Ghost, today announced the availability of Big Bang LLC’s Universal Imaging Utility (UIU) 3.5, offering compatibility with the Business and Enterprise versions of the Microsoft® Vista operating system. The UIU simplifies system rollouts, migrations and deployments, as well as disaster recovery and updates.

The UIU, already previously compatible with Microsoft XP and 2000, works alongside popular disk-imaging packages and prepares a Master Image for error-free deployment to every desktop, laptop and tablet PC in the business environment. In addition, the UIU 3.5 supports the use of Microsoft’s new volume licensing, including multiple activation key and key activation service, as well as the traditional volume activation 1.0 (VA 1.0) for Windows XP.

“The Universal Imaging Utility saves time and money, simplifying administrative tasks that can take hours, even days, of time away from mission-critical activities,” said Jim Szopinski, Vice President at Binary Research. “With the UIU’s extensive, up-to-date device driver database, a single disk Image can be rolled out to a heterogeneous group of machines, ensuring that each one gets the correct drivers for the disparate devices present. UIU is a wise addition to any organization’s systems management strategy.”

Features of the UIU 3.5 include: • Database of 25,000 device drivers has been streamlined for quicker hardware detection. • MIMIC (Master Image Machine Integrity Check) delivers peace of mind by authenticating and optimizing the Master Image prior to cloning. • Works alongside all the major cloning utilities including Ghost, Altiris, ZenWorks, Acronis and more. • UIU Wizard helps create Sysprep answer file or allows an existing file to be imported.

The UIU, introduced in 2004 by Big Bang LLC and distributed exclusively by Binary Research International (BRI), provides a solution for those who typically spend an unprofitable amount of company time maintaining, upgrading, cloning and deploying hundreds or thousands of computers within an organization. Designed to work with leading Windows hard drive cloning and data back-up software solutions such as Symantec Ghost, Altiris Migration Suite, Novell ZENworks, Acronis True Image and others, the UIU makes it possible for these programs to create a single hard disk copy or Image that will work with a wide range of computer platforms and configurations. Deploying this clean Image can be the fastest and best way to clean up computers compromised by viruses, spyware, bad drivers and bad data.

Licensing for the UIU 3.5 is per-seat and is based on the number of computers receiving an Image that was prepared with the UIU. Pricing starts at $20.14 per-seat for up to 199 computers and goes down to $9.66 for 5,000 or more licenses. BINARY RESEARCH INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES UNIVERSAL IMAGING UTILITY 3.0

CLONING WITH A SINGLE MASTER IMAGE REDUCES COMPUTER SET UP TIME AND INCREASES BOTTOM LINE

July, 2006 - Milwaukee, WI
Businesses can dramatically slash desktop computer set-up and configuration times from hours to minutes with the new Universal Imaging Utility 3.0 (UIU) created by Big Bang LLC and distributed exclusively by Binary Research International Inc. (BRI). The software provides a solution for those who typically spend an unprofitable amount of company time maintaining, upgrading, cloning and deploying hundreds or thousands of computers within an organization.

Introduced today, the new UIU 3.0 builds on the success of the earlier versions and includes enhanced features for greater efficiency, quicker and more accurate hardware detection and improved update functions.

The UIU, introduced in 2004 by Big Bang, was designed to work with leading hard drive cloning and data back-up solutions such as Symantec Ghost, Altiris Migration Suite, Novell ZENworks, Acronis True Image and others.

The UIU makes it possible for these programs to create a single hard disk copy or image that will work with a wide range of computer platforms and configurations. Loading in this clean hard drive image can be the fastest and best way to clean up computers compromised by viruses, spyware, bad drivers and bad data.

The UIU application is used immediately prior to creating a base image file of a Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Microsoft Tablet PC operating system and provides the user with a single image that can be deployed, via cloning software, to any computer regardless of the manufacturer make, model or configuration set-up. Using the UIU to prepare the source PC greatly simplifies the cloning process and eliminates error messages, “blue screens” on the target machines and missing plug-and-play IDs.

Benefits are numerous: • software updates, security patches, service packs and bug fixes can be deployed sooner; • machines can be cloned more often and at a lower cost than ever before; • new system migrations and rollouts are completed in a fraction of the time with no need to keep track of multiple image files; • storage space is used more efficiently; • IT staff time is freed to focus on more critical projects.

According to John T. Prescott, Network Manager/Administrator for the City of Melbourne, Florida, “My technicians used to take six hours to load and patch a new system. With the UIU it now takes six minutes!”

“The new Universal Imaging Utility 3.0 makes it possible to create a single clone Image that will work for all of an organization’s Windows XP, 2000 and Tablet PC computers, regardless of hardware configuration,” said Jim Szopinski, Executive Vice President of BRI. “The UIU 3.0 enables IT departments to drastically reduce the time and money spent on image creation and deployment by streamlining the cloning process.” The UIU works with virtually all brands and models of motherboards, graphics and audio cards, IDE, ATA, and SATA hard drives and optical devices, Szopinski added.

BINARY RESEARCH INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES UNIVERSAL IMAGING UTILITY 2.0

THE NEXT EVOLUTION IN DISK IMAGING

April, 2005- Milwaukee, WI
Binary Research International today announced the availability of the Universal Imaging Utility 2.0 (UIU), the only solution for those needing to maintain, upgrade, clone and deploy hundreds or thousands of different computers within an enterprise environment. Loading in a clean hard drive Image can be the fastest and best way to clean up computers compromised by viruses, spyware, bad drivers, bad data, etc.

The UIU 2.0, developed by Big Bang, LLC and distributed exclusively by Binary Research International, Inc., was designed to work with leading hard drive cloning and data back-up solutions such as Symantec Ghost, Drive Image Pro and PowerQuest, Altiris Migration Suite, Novell ZENworks and Acronis TrueImage. UIU 2.0 finally makes it possible for these programs to create a single hard disk copy or Image that will work with a wide range of platforms and configurations.

"UIU saved my company thousands of man hours by allowing me to combine the 20 different Ghost Images we have into one," said Kevin Riley, Network Administrator, TRICARE Management Activity - Department of Defense. "It also helped make our network more secure knowing that every single computer, regardless of hardware, is exactly the same."

Even though it is smaller in size, the new UIU 2.0 application provides a greatly improved user interface that is much more intuitive and easy to use, integrated help files, online updating for new security patches and drivers, expanded peripheral and component support and overall better performance.

UNIVERSAL IMAGING UTILITY TO BE DISTRIBUTED BY BINARY RESEARCH INTERNATIONAL

SIMPLIFIES CLONING AND MIGRATION PROCESS FOR GHOST, ALTIRIS, POWERQUEST AND OTHERS

June, 2004 - Milwaukee, WI
Binary Research International, part of the company that developed Ghost and revolutionized the PC industry with its software cloning tool, has announced an exclusive agreement with Big Bang LLC to distribute the Universal Imaging Utility (UIU).

The revolutionary technology in the UIU allows users to create an image file that is independent of hardware. While the benefits of system cloning, in terms of saving time and money, are indisputable, the functionality of the UIU takes that process to a new level. In their present form, software cloning tools such as Symantec's Ghost, Altiris' Migration Suite, PowerQuest's (now Symantec's) Drive Image Pro and others, require users to maintain a copy of their base configuration, known as an image, for each different hardware configuration in their environment. In large installations, users typically need to maintain and manage dozens or even hundreds of images. When factoring in security updates, patches and software revisions, the investment in time and storage costs to maintain these images is considerable.

"The Universal Imaging Utility has made desktop management truly manageable." says Nan Cusick, IT Director of a 700-computer network in Glendale, AZ, "One image for all my XP computers has suddenly freed me from my image nightmare. I no longer have to keep an image for every configuration; I no longer have to find a place to store all of these images; I no longer need to keep track of which computers need which image; and, blessedly, I only have to update ONE image to stay current."

The UIU enables IT departments to drastically reduce the time and money spent on image creation and deployment by streamlining the cloning process. The UIU does not replace cloning software; it prepares a PC so that the cloning process goes more smoothly, eliminating error messages or "blue screens" on cloned machines. The UIU is used immediately prior to creating a base image file of a Windows XP or 2000 computer and provides the user with an image that can be deployed to any other computer, regardless of the manufacturer's make or model.
