The UIU and Windows 7
When Microsoft released Windows 7, there were many people, including some of our customers, who were pretty excited about some of the new imaging capabilities under the hood of the latest Windows Operating System.
We will even be totally honest with you and tell you that we lost a few customers to Windows 7 -- briefly anyway.
Even with a more powerful ImageX, and HAL issues no longer a concern, our customers who thought that Windows 7 would replace the UIU came back in very short order because they missed what only the UIU, with its fully vetted and updated driver database can provide - ONE hardware-independent hard drive image for every PC in their environment.
